Commission Your Portrait
A commissioned portrait is more than a likeness. It is a way to celebrate a personality, preserve a memory and create a lasting connection with someone or something you love.
From the familiar expression of a pet to the subtle details of a human face, I combine close observation with careful craftsmanship to capture the character of each subject. Every commission begins with your photographs, your ideas and the story behind them.
How It Works
1. Share Your Idea
Tell me about the artwork you have in mind—a portrait of a loved one, a cherished pet, or a wildlife subject. Include your preferred size, medium, and any special requirements.
2. Choose Your Reference and Details
Send clear, well-lit reference photographs. If you are unsure which photograph would work best, send a few options and I will help you choose. Together, we will confirm the composition, medium, dimensions, framing requirements, price, and estimated completion time.
3. Confirm Your Commission
Once the details are agreed, a 50% deposit confirms your commission and allows work to begin. Payments are accepted by bank transfer only. Bank details will be provided with your quotation.
4. Review Your Artwork
I will share a photograph of the completed artwork for your review before delivery. Any adjustments will be discussed within the agreed scope of the commission. Additional requests may affect the cost or completion date and will be agreed before proceeding.
5. Arrange Collection or Delivery
Once you approve the artwork and the remaining balance has cleared, we will arrange collection or delivery. Any framing, packaging, and delivery charges will be confirmed in advance.
Choosing Your Photographs
Choose clear, high-resolution photographs taken in natural light, with the eyes and key features in focus. Send a few options and tell me which expression or pose feels most like your subject.
For a portrait with more than one subject, share the available photographs so we can discuss a suitable composition. If your images are limited, get in touch and we can explore the possibilities.
Sizes and Pricing
Each commission is individually quoted according to its size, medium, number of subjects, background detail, and complexity.Please contact me for a personalised quotation. If you have a particular size or budget in mind, include it in your enquiry so we can explore suitable options.
Framing and Delivery
Your quotation will clearly state whether framing is included, optional, or not included. Optional framing and delivery are charged separately unless expressly included in the quotation.Collection in Dubai may be arranged by agreement. Delivery availability and costs will be confirmed for your location.
Changes and Cancellations
Please contact me promptly if you need to change or cancel your commission. Depending on the stage of work, changes may affect the price or completion date.For full details, please read the Shipping, Returns & Cancellations policy.
