Privacy Policy

Last updated: 22 October 2026

Nelsonpaulart respects your privacy. This policy explains how personal information is collected, used, stored, and shared when you visit https://nelsonpaulart.com, contact us, purchase artwork, or request a commission.

1. Who we are

Nelsonpaulart is the art website of Nelson Paul, based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

For questions about this policy or requests concerning your personal information, please email nelsonpaulart@gmail.com.

2. Information we collect

Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:

  • Your name, email address, and telephone number.

  • Billing and delivery addresses provided for purchases.

  • Enquiry messages, commission requirements, and correspondence.

  • Reference photographs or other files you choose to upload or send.

  • Order details, payment references, and payment confirmations.

  • Account information if you create a customer account.

  • Technical information such as your IP address, browser information, and website activity recorded through hosting, security, and essential website functions.

Please provide only information needed for your enquiry or order. Do not send passwords, payment-card details, or unrelated sensitive information through the contact form.

3. How we use your information

We use personal information to:

  • Respond to enquiries and discuss artwork.

  • Prepare quotations and manage commissions.

  • Process orders and verify bank-transfer payments.

  • Arrange framing, collection, or delivery where applicable.

  • Send order updates and other service-related communications.

  • Maintain necessary business and transaction records.

  • Protect the website against spam, misuse, and security threats.

  • Meet applicable legal obligations and resolve disputes.

Where consent is required, we will request it. Other processing may be necessary to fulfil an order, take steps you request before an order, or meet obligations permitted or required by applicable law.

4. Contact forms and email

Our contact form uses Forminator. Submitted information is stored within our WordPress website and sent to nelsonpaulart@gmail.com.

Website notifications are sent through Gmail using FluentSMTP. Google processes and stores email information as part of providing its email service.

FluentSMTP also records outgoing website emails for delivery monitoring and troubleshooting. These logs may include recipient addresses, subjects, message contents, and delivery information. Our current setting automatically deletes these logs after 14 days.

Deleting an email log does not delete the corresponding form submission, order record, or Gmail correspondence. Those records follow the retention approach described below.

5. Commission photographs and artwork

Photographs and reference files supplied for a commission are used to assess your request, discuss the work, and create the agreed artwork.

Please ensure you have permission to supply and use the photographs you send. Where a photograph depicts another person, obtain any permission needed from that person or their parent or guardian.

We will seek your permission before publishing an identifiable commissioned portrait, your reference photographs, your name, or a testimonial on our website, social media, or promotional materials. Permission to create a commission does not automatically provide permission to publish these materials.

You may contact us to withdraw permission for future promotional use. Where applicable, we will remove material from channels we control, although we may be unable to retrieve printed materials already distributed or copies shared independently by others.

6. Orders and bank-transfer payments

Payments are currently accepted by bank transfer only. Bank details are supplied as part of the order or commission process.

We may retain the payer’s name, payment amount, transaction reference, and relevant payment confirmation to verify payment and maintain transaction records.

Please conceal unrelated balances or transactions when sending payment evidence.

We do not collect payment-card details through our checkout. Your bank handles the transfer under its own privacy and security terms.

7. Service providers and information sharing

Information may be processed by service providers where necessary to operate the website or fulfil your request, including:

  • Hostinger, for website hosting and related infrastructure.

  • Google/Gmail, for email delivery and correspondence.

  • Our WordPress website, including WooCommerce, Forminator, and FluentSMTP, for orders, enquiries, and email functions.

  • Delivery companies or other service providers where needed to fulfil an agreed order.

  • Professional advisers or authorities where disclosure is necessary or legally required.

Website plugins may process information within our website; their use does not automatically mean every plugin developer receives your information.

We do not sell or rent your personal information.

8. Cookies and website features

The website uses cookies and similar technologies where needed to support functions such as shopping-cart activity, customer sessions, login, and security.

You can manage or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may prevent some website features from working correctly.

Where optional analytics, advertising, or other non-essential tracking is introduced, we will provide appropriate information and obtain consent where required.

9. Marketing communications

We do not currently offer newsletter subscriptions through this website. Sending an enquiry or purchasing artwork does not automatically subscribe you to marketing emails.

We may still contact you about your enquiry, commission, order, payment, or delivery.

If newsletter subscriptions are introduced later, we will explain their purpose, request consent where required, and provide an unsubscribe option.

10. International processing

Hosting, email, and other service providers may process or store information outside the United Arab Emirates.

Where international transfers occur, applicable data-protection requirements must be met. We consider providers’ privacy and security arrangements when selecting services used to handle personal information.

11. How long we retain information

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably needed for the purpose for which it was collected, including managing enquiries, completing commissions, supporting customers, maintaining transaction records, and meeting applicable legal obligations.

Retention depends on the type of information and the circumstances. We review information and delete or anonymise it when it is no longer needed.

Some information may remain temporarily in backups until those backups are replaced or expire. Records needed for legal obligations or disputes may need to be kept longer.

12. Protecting your information

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information and restrict access to those who need it.

However, no website, email service, or electronic storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.

13. Your privacy rights

Subject to applicable law, you may have rights to:

  • Request access to your personal information.

  • Ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete information.

  • Request deletion of information.

  • Request restrictions on, or object to, certain processing.

  • Request a portable copy of information where applicable.

  • Withdraw consent where processing relies on consent.

  • Raise a concern with the relevant data-protection authority.

To make a request, email nelsonpaulart@gmail.com. We may need to verify your identity before responding.

Some requests may be subject to legal exceptions, including requirements to retain transaction records. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing lawfully carried out before withdrawal.

14. Children’s information

This website is intended for adults purchasing artwork or arranging commissions. A parent or guardian should manage any enquiry, purchase, or commission involving a child.

Please contact us if you believe a child has supplied personal information without appropriate permission.

15. External websites

Our website may link to social media platforms or other external websites. Their handling of personal information is governed by their own privacy policies.

16. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our services, website features, or information-handling practices change.

The latest version will appear on this page with an updated date. Where required, we will provide additional notice of significant changes.
